Original WWII Japanese Imperial Army/Navy Type 98 Model Otsu (九八式羅針盤乙) magnetic aircraft compass, manufactured by Tokyo Keiki (東京計器, TK logo). Direct-reading liquid-damped compass used in Japanese fighters, bombers, and reconnaissance planes (e.g., Ki-43, Ki-67).

Features:

• Black circular housing with semi-circular glass dome, NS/EW markings on bezel.

• Adjustment knob, mounting bracket, hanging cord.

• Data plate: ‘九八式羅針盤乙’ with Showa era date and serial (partial visible as ).

• Attached original deviation calibration tag (paper, with handwritten corrections in degrees for N/NE/E/SE/S/SW/W/NW headings, from Tokyo Aero Instrument Inspection Dept.).

• Condition: Good vintage — patina/rust/wear typical of age/storage (see photos), glass intact, card rotates freely (untested in flight conditions), no major damage/cracks. Sold as-is for collection, display, or warbird restoration.
